- Can a visitor order products?

No, visitors cannot order products on PTplace.com. However, visitors are encouraged to find the products needed and order them from a distributor. Find the products needed, then search for a distributor using the search function on the left navigation bar on PTplace.com.

- Can I enter an order for modified motors?
Modified products are not available for on-line ordering at PTplace.com. Information on modified products can be found at Reliance.com. The ability to configure and order a specially modified motor on-line will be added to PTplace in the future.
- How do I edit a purchasing list?
You can view your purchasing lists by clicking on the My Purchasing List button located within the top navigation bar. Click on the purchasing list you wish to edit. Now you can add items to the list, change the quantity of an item, remove an item from an order, and delete an item from the list.
- How do I find a specific product/ part number?
To search the database, you can use the search functions on the left hand navigation bar or drill down through the Dodge or Reliance Electric catalogs.
- How do I get Adobe Reader?
Click on the Adobe link at the bottom of the initial Log-In page. You will connect to the Adobe web site and will find the download for a free Adobe reader. Follow the directions for downloading and installing it on your computer.
- How do I get a user name and password for PTplace.com?
PTplace.com is used by two groups of users. The group to which you belong determines how you can get a user name and password. One group of users is visitors and is the most likely group to which you belong. The other group consists of current Dodge / Reliance customers that already have an account and customer number with Dodge / Reliance. We refer to this group as members.
Visitors can quickly and easily create a user name and password. Just click on the "Login" button in the top navigation bar above. Once at the login screen click on the button "Create A New Account" and follow the directions.
PTplace.com allows members to conduct business with Dodge / Reliance. A great deal of security is associated with this. Each account must have an account administrator and backup account administrator. These administrators determine who can do what at PTplace.com on behalf of their location.
If your location has an account administrator set up, you can get a user name and password from them. If you are not sure if your location is set up with an account administrator, please contact us to send a message and we'll tell you if an account administrator exists at your location.
If your location does not have an account administrator, we will initiate the process on receipt of an email from you. The process includes you providing us information from a form, getting verification of the information, and mailing out a user name and password. In some cases, the administrator set up requires approval from Dodge / RelianceSales Management. We'll let you know what the deal is if you send us an email.
- How do I get engineering information?
The On-Line Catalogs have a great deal of engineering details attached to the part numbers. This information is shown in easy to print or download PDF format. If you are unable to locate specific engineering data on-line, send us an email using the CONTACT US link and we'll try to locate the engineering data you need.
- How do I order literature?
You will find a wealth of information about Dodge products in our On-Line Catalog. In this catalog you will find easy to print and download PDF files. If you don't find what you need, you may choose to visit dodge-pt.com.
If our on-line site simply does not have what you need , please send us an email using the CONTACT US link. We will be happy to send you the information requested via traditional mail.
- How do I upgrade my browser?
Just click on the Internet Explorer button at the bottom of the initial Log-In page and follow the directions.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, how do I get information about my account?
Under the MY PROFILE section of the site, you can set your personal interests, view your profile, reset your password, or view account details. Profile details are self administered. Account details are administered by Dodge. You are not able to change these details for security reasons. If you have permission from your local account administrator, you can also view invoice history under the Accounting Details tab. This tab is available only to those members with permission to view Accounting details. If you believe you should have access to these details and do not currently, contact your account administrator.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, how can I find the shipping status of my order?
You can click on the My Orders button at the top of the page and choose a specific order using your purchase order number or the Dodge sales order number. Or you may select a category of orders (Open, Closed, etc.) and see a listing from which to select a specific order.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, how do I expedite an order?
You can check on your order status and shipping information at PTplace.com. If you need expedited delivery, you can make this request via email to your Inside Sales Representative using the link on your Home Page.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, how do I know my order has been placed?
When you hit the SUBMIT ORDER button, you will receive confirmation, on the screen, that the order has been placed. To check the status go to the ORDER STATUS button at the top of your screen. You will also receive an email confirmation that the order was send to Dodge. A second email will confirm that Dodge received your order.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, how do I return an item?
Equipment Return Authorizations are available through your Authorized Distributor or through your Inside Sales Representative. You can contact your Inside Sales Rep from PTplace using the link on your Home Page. On-line return authorization and tracking are planned as future enhancements to PTplace.com.
- I am a regular business account with Dodge, is international shipping available?
All international shipments must be made with your Inside Sales Representative. You can contact them via email from the link on your PTplace home page. PTplace does not provide for international shipments at this time.
- What are the recommended browsers to use?
The recommended browser to use with for PTplace is Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.

- What is Adobe Reader?
Adobe Reader is software that allows you to view information that is presented in a Portable Document File, often refered to as a PDF. The software is free and can be downloaded over the Internet. Many sources of information on this site link to PDF's such as the advertisements on the Home Page and engineering information on some Product Detail Pages. See the FAQ "How do I get Adobe Reader?" for obtaining this software free.
- What is a PDF or Portable Document File?
It is a file format created by Adobe that lets you view and print a file exactly as the author designed it, without needing to have the same application used to create the file. However, you do need the software application Adobe Reader to view the file. See the FAQ "How do I get Adobe Reader?" for obtaining this software free.
- What is the Alternate Parts Search?
The Alternate Part Search takes competitive part numbers and customer specific part numbers and displays the corresponding Dodge / Reliance part. This search is a part number to part number search and currently does not allow searching by part description. The part number must be exact so be sure to include relevant spaces, dashes and slashes. The search does not yet recognize abbreviated part numbers or wildcards.
- What is the purpose of a purchasing list?
- Frequently repeated orders. If you, or your customer, consistently use a specific group of items, you may create a list for each group and then use it for an order you are creating. Use any alpha/numeric naming method you wish. (See Help...Tutorial...How to create a Purchasing List, to set up a list.)
- Save an order you are working on. Maybe you have entered several line items and then completion is delayed with an interruption. Save the order to a list, then recall it later to complete it.
- You work with a limited number of items from our catalog. Add them all to a list and you can recall it as your personal catalog. Click on any of the part numbers for stock inquiry or select individual items to include on an order.
- Why can't I find an part number that I usually buy?

The current PTplace catolog includes over 31,000 part numbers from the Dodge / Reliance database.There are some products that don't appear on PTplace for a variety of reasons. We do not show proprietary part numbers on PTplace. If your company buys proprietary part numbers from Dodge / Reliance, we will not be able to offer these until a custom cataloging feature is released in the future. Modified standard and custom products are not shown at PTplace at this time. We are working on configuration programs that will allow these items to be ordered on-line in the future. Items not shown at PTplace may be ordered through the inside sales department. Contact your representative if you have questions regarding a specific part.
